Before today if someone tells me that he saw friendship between dog and owl, I wouldn’t believe him, but when I saw that photos, of course I have to believe him. We usually think that animals don’t get along with each other, mistrusting or caught in the cycle of predator and prey. But in reality, animals can sometimes remind us of childhood stories and tv programs – sometimes the unlikely friendships are indeed made by animals, and here’s the proof that no matter how different two creatures might be, there’s still room for unexpected friendships in the animal kingdom. Photographer Tanja Brandt from Germany has captured these beautiful images of the surprising friendship between a German shepherd dog called Ingo and a cute little owl called Poldi. The two don’t seem to have much in common, but the bond between them is clear.
Unlikely animal pairs romping or snuggling have become so common that they are piquing the interest of some scientists, who say they invite more systematic study. Among other things, researchers say, the alliances could add to an understanding of how species communicate, what propels certain animals to connect across species lines and the degree to which some animals can adopt the behaviors of other species. Really I enjoyed the video, if you liked it, let your friends know the beautiful relationships between animals. There’s something special about interspecies animal friendships, perhaps because they demonstrate that if animals can put aside their differences, there’s no reason we humans can’t do the same. It is sometimes surprising to see that the predator and the prey become inseparable friends. There are some people out there that still believe that animals are just dumb beasts, but the unlikely animal friendship on the photos here will prove that they are capable of feeling love and compassion just like we are.
