It’s a tender and joyful story, it’s full of meanings, and it shows the side of a mother that dogs have. It’s a story about rescuing a whole family; it won’t be done without the trust between the dog and her savior.
The story of rescuing Rosie and her puppies started when she spent a lot of time of her life in the streets with no savior, and without any kind of help. Till it all changed; a man finds her and starts to feed her for a complete week, till he find any other way to help. That’s when the Hope for Paw’s volunteer came out to the located place, they set a trap cage for her and she entered into it easily, he offered her some food, her eyes were so cold and sad so he tried to comfort her. He opened up the cage a little bit and entered the leash, but it will not end that way because there is a second part of Rosie’s story.
The volunteer figured out that she had given birth just a few days ago, because Rosie was lactating which means that she had puppies somewhere. He gave more space by connecting tow leashes together to let her feel she is free enough to walk and show him the puppies place, she walked to an old truck surrounded by rubbish, she sat under it, so does that means that her puppies didn’t survive?
After an hour, the volunteer had a very smart idea. He played sounds of little puppies howling and crying so maybe she would notice and if the puppies are alive she will go to them, and he was absolutely right. By playing the sounds over and over again, she took him in ways and paths till they finally reached the right place; the cute puppies were sleeping safely.
The volunteer took them away, safe and sound, in a little box with their mom; he took them all to the hospital to check on their health. I’m hoping they have a good and safe home now. It’s a really touching story, almost like a fairytale with a happy ending.
