Nothing is more heartwarming than reuniting moments. It was that amazing moment when Matt Foster was reunited with his dog, Mike, the 7 years old black Labrador. They have been a year far from each other. Mike the black Labrador dog was serving in Afghanistan with Matt Foster; he was sniffing the bombs units and IEDs. As Matt said, Mike, the black Labrador dog, was doing his job perfectly, and he helped in stopping many bombs and Matt said that lots of dogs were killed because of those types of missions. Mike and Matt went through many missions; they went through more than 180 successful missions. After one year and after many tries of adopting this loyal dog, Matt successfully adopted Mike, and it was worth the wait. As Matt Foster said, no one ever can understand the bond between him and Mike, it was very strong and deep, with all what happens in war, Mike the black Labrador dog was his companion and friend. Now, Mike needed to retire, and all what Foster wanted is to repay Mike the black Labrador dog for all what he did, it’s time to offer him a safe home, without the danger of being killed in anytime.
If you think that dogs become loyal because they need a reward, or their true need for a home, a friend or food, think again. The relation between a dog and human is not ruled with needs; it comes from the nature of dogs itself, then try it yourself. Even if you stayed away for a while, your dog’s love for you will be the same. How many videos have we seen before about how dogs react when they meet their friends after a long period of time, maybe even years? They live by the bond of love and loyalty, the bond that is between the human and the dog.
