Some people can make a huge difference in culture and in the whole world, only if they believe in what they do. Carol Buckley, having more than 40 years of experience in dealing with elephants, she made a difference in their lives. She is making their lives better. Thousands of elephants are used as slaves for humans, forced to do what humans force them to do. Like humans riding on them, doing shows, and for way more. In order to train them, humans hit and abuse elephants, shackled in chains for their entire life to prevent from escaping. In other words, they are keeping elephants from their wild life, the life were they are supposed to fill their basic needs. And it was only noticed by Carol Buckley, who is changing the culture that brutalized elephants for centuries. In this video, it shows the story of Carol, and what made her feel this way towards elephants. Carol was aware of all the elephants of the world that do not have the life that they should have, so she started Elephant Aid International to help spread the word about elephant care.
Elephants are very smart and strong animals. There are only two types of elephants: African elephants, where both males and females have tusks, then the other type is Asian elephants, where only the male elephants have tusks. Elephant’s life span is about 44 years. Elephants are the biggest mammals in the world. Sometimes, elephants use their tusks to dig for water and food. Surprisingly, elephants can drink about 210 liter of water daily. The elephant trunk can reach about 2 meters, and it can weigh till 140 kg. The elephant’s ear is big and thin; it’s all made of blood vessels, which actually helps the elephant to reach the normal body temperature. Elephants are good at swimming; they could use their trunk to breathe from it.
