Every day we hear about painful stories about abandoned and abused dogs, we feel their pain. You get that ache in your heart and feel like you want to save them all. Here is the story of Judith, one of the stories that will make your heart ache.
Judith spent 10 years in chain, she owns nothing. No toys to play with, no blanket to cover, or a bone to eat, no food, and no water. She was so abused and neglected, some neighbors said that her owners urinated on her from the porch, it’s the worst abusing ever. And now she is left outside in the mud, feeling painful and cold.
The Animal Advocates was there for help one day before their owner deal with SPCA to kill Judith and take 50$ in a sideline business that based on “kill for cash”, the SPCA kept on killing thousands of unwanted pets or abused ones, she was blessed. She got a second chance for life, and was rescued from her abused and lonely life. She deserved to be saved in her last years.
Judith was in a very miserable condition, emaciated, dehydrated, she was unable to walk easily because her hips hurt her; it was very painful for her to resist. Her fur was knotted and unshaved; it was full of caked mud, but thankfully she was groomed and shaved, had a nice bath, and they gave her the medical treatment she needs.
Judith finally found a new safe home with a very loving, caring and kind family, they really loved her dearly, they treated her like a member of the family and that what she really wanted. Dogs need love more than they need food or water or even home. The family brought her a cart to help her in walking when her hips became so old to walk on, they gave out. She got her freedom; she went to the lake and went camping. Sadly, Judith passed away after 18 months of her rescue, that safe home was a gift for her to remove all the bad memories she had and replace them with that good ones she lived in her last months.
Just remember that there are so many like Judith and they are in pain and get abused every day, waiting for help. They are waiting for that hand that offers them love before anything else.
