Justin Rollins, an American soldier who was serving in Iraq, he was one of the people who was so touched by the terrorist event of 9/11, this event was the reason that made him decide to be a solider.
The love of his country wasn’t the only love in his heart; he was a very kind and romantic man. When he came home and surprised his beautiful girl, Britney, on the same year he told her that he loves her deeply, and he told her that there are some adorable pictures are there for her to see, and he promised to email them for her. He was planning to propose for her soon, once he gets back from his serving.
But maybe life wouldn’t give him much time to come back and do all these things. His mother felt like something wrong is happening, and after hours, Justin’s dad saw a car stopping in front of their house with two officers coming outside of it, they told both of them that sadly, their son had been killed in action. They all were so broken, especially Britney, her love story will not be completed the way she had dreamed of. But destiny always gives us little small gifts that could help us pass through our struggles. The same night, Britney opened her email, she found the pictures that Justin promised he will sent her, and as she was seeing his smile in the pictures, she saw his secret, and he was having a little sweet puppy.
When his body was back home, ready to get buried, Justin’s mother asked them to give her one of the puppies that Justin held in Iraq before he was killed. But it wasn’t that easy to find that puppy; it’s like a one in a million chance to do this, how could they find a puppy living in a place the war is taking place in? But it’s like the living piece of Justin that his family wants back. The last thing that gave Justin a bit of love and happiness and was the reason of his smile should go back home, and it got back. The little puppy had been found and they gave her the name Hero.
At the moment they were talking about Hero, there is a light appeared between clouds and was spotted on Hero on the place she was standing in. Justin was there, satisfied and happy with what his family had done; it will be the living piece of him, forever.
