The whole town gathered to say goodbye to this dog, and it’s so heartwarming

If you’re a dog owner, then you just know how much of a blessing having a dog in your house is. Dogs are incredibly kind and compassionate. They are also very protective of their owners and anyone they have shared the house with, they are known for being brave and willing to sacrifice their own safety in order to protect those who they love. So it’s fair to say that dogs are way, way more than just pets. They are lifetime companions, and always the best friends you could ask for in those times of trouble. And the perfect example of that is military dogs.

Canvas was a military dog who served multiple tours in Iraq with her master, Corporal Moseley. Canvas was trained to sniff out and identify 70 different types of bombs, and during her service time, she saved many souls.

However, every blissful journey must come to an inevitable end. Unfortunately, upon her return to her hometown, Minden, Canvas got sick, and her family had to make the hard choice of letting her cross the rainbow bridge into a better place, a place where she does not have to suffer pain.

Of course it was such a hard decision to make, especially for Corporal Moseley, so the small town decided to gather up and work together to give Canvas a beautiful last ride, and to salute her and honor her efforts and the lives that she saved.

It was very heartwarming to see all the different people coming together to participate in making Canvas’s last ride the best one yet, it brought happy tears to my eyes.

We know Canvas now is in a better place, and we’ll keep her and all the brave dogs out there in our hearts forever. Share this touching story with your family and friends.
