Every day we hear lots of heartbreaking stories about animals that are treated inhumanely and left to die painful deaths. However, it is always heartwarming to hear that some people are willing to put their own lives and interest on the line in order to save an animal that is in need, no matter how much effort is needed. These people put these poor animals first and let go of their own interest for the poor animals’ sake, and we appreciate their work too much, for they give those hopeless animals a second chance in life.
On June 18th, 2015, a man taking a walk found three puppies cruelly dumped in a tar well and in a horrible condition.
They were rescued by three women named Amparo, Ana Rama, and Tere Sanchez who work at an animal rescue at Cartagena, Spain.
The three puppies were 4 months old, and they were covered in tar from head to toe, and they have swallowed huge amounts of tar and were having trouble breathing and opening their mouths. Unfortunately, one of the three puppies was weaker than his siblings, and the vets confirmed that there was no way to save him, so he was mercifully euthanized.
As for the two remaining puppies, the ladies spent two days washing the tar off their bodies, and they finally succeeded in cleaning them completely.
The two puppies are now safe and sound and completely recovered, and they were named Chapa and Pote.
We hope the person who committed this act of cruelty is brought to justice, as they will serve a penalty of 18 months in jail, however, so far there are no leads on who did this.
We are so thankful for the restless rescuers. Share this touching rescue story with your family and friends.
