Animals can be an inspiration, they have the strength to get over difficulties of their lives, and face their disabilities and win the game, and they are trying to tell us to never give up, and this is what the story of Zeus is going to tell you. Zeus is a paralyzed dog, his family gave up on him, and they sent him to a shelter where they can take care of him because actually, this cold hearted family said they didn’t want such a defective dog. Instead of taking care of him, they threw him away. He stayed in the shelter lonely, not loved, with lots of sadness in his eyes. But thankfully, Zeus the paralyzed dog got a chance.
Zeus was sent to St. Francis CARE in Murphysboro, Illinois, and it was like heaven for Zeus the paralyzed dog. He was mostly treated with love; all the people there were caring for him deeply. They decided to help him and give this paralyzed dog a new chance to stand on his feet, so it was the right time to start physical therapy sessions. Before they started it, Zeus the paralyzed dog was not able to move a muscle, they started with swimming lessons, and it helped him very well to get the idea of moving his limbs. Then, they started to tell the story of Zeus the paralyzed dog to people on Facebook, his story had broken their hearts, many people started to donate, and they bought him a wheelchair, he spent lots of time on it to strengthen his muscles and starts to move.
Now thankfully, Zeus is not a paralyzed dog at all, he can walk. Maybe he is not a perfect runner or not the suitable pet to play fetch with, maybe he is not the perfect pet, but he is a fighter, he faced all his disabilities and never gave up.
