Meet Khaleesi, The Dog With Half a Face That Won’t Stop Smiling

Unfortunately, and even with efforts of animal lovers to spread awareness, we still see cases of animal abuse. Every day we hear lots of heartbreaking stories about dogs that are abused and subjected to difficult situations that leave their physical and psychological health at huge risk. However, it is always heartwarming to hear that some people are willing to put effort in order to save an animal that is in need, no matter how much time and resources are needed.

And because of these rescues, we get to see the most amazing things taking place, and it proves to us that all dogs just need a bit of kindness to make them give their full potential of love.

And you’re about to meet one of those amazing dogs.

When Khaleesi, the two year old pit bull, was first found, she was abandoned on a lawn in Florida. Khaleesi has sustained horrible abuse. Her most apparent and painful injury was the fact that half of her face was chopped off! She was missing her nose, sinus cavity, and nostrils. In addition, her back legs weren’t working properly.
When a shelter which allowed euthanasia contacted Stephanie Paquin of Passion 4 Pits Rescue,

she knew she had to do something to rescue Khaleesi, so she took her in and has made it her project to heal Khaleesi as much as possible.

Khaleesi will undergo several surgeries to fix her breathing problems resulting from her injury. Her abuser is unknown, but it is gratifying to know that this person’s cruelty didn’t stop Khaleesi from being a happy, loving dog. Her beautiful spirit shines through despite her crippling injury.Passion 4 Pits started a fund to cover Khaleesi’s medical procedure, to donate, go to
