This is another heartbreaking story of poor dogs surrendered by their own owners. Romeo is one of those abandoned and devastated dogs. He realized that his own family has surrendered him to a shelter.
It is devastating to know that the family knew the shelter was full, a clear sign that Romeo may be killed. They didn’t care! His “family” didn’t care to know the destiny of their four-year-old-dog.
It is unbelievable how his owners could be that cruel! They left him behind in a place where the other dogs cry for human’s love and companionship. He has been traumatized by the betrayal of his family, and he has shut down in his kennel. Because of his behavior, he is on the list to be killed.
I can’t imagine what went through their minds when surrendering poor Romeo. They told the shelter that he is loving, easy going, friendly, well-trained, and amazing with children. The poor dog is listed as a Golden Retriever mix.
Volunteers at the shelter believe that he is devastated. He sits alone in his cage, crying for his family that has betrayed him. All Romeo needs is a forever home where he finds a loving family who love and care for him unconditionally.
If you can help Romeo, don’t hesitate to contact the shelter and email them right away at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com. Make the subject line: Do Not Euth Romeo #A26337011 and include your contact information in the body of the email. Better yet, go to the shelter and adopt him. Even a foster offer would save his life.
Romeo is located at Hillsborough County Animal Services, 440 N. Falkenburg Road, Tampa, FL 33619, his ID is #A26337011, their phone number is 813-744-5660.
